WHY WE DO THIS WORK

Pay

For every dollar a white male colleague makes, women make up to 44.6 cents less, and there are also disparities between women colleagues' earnings by race. Even with same or greater education attainment, Black women earn less than their white male counterparts. U.S. Dept. of Labor Blog.

Power

While there appears to be more women in the corporate promotion pipeline, women of color (represented by the hot pink bar) are grossly underrepresented in positions of highest influence. Peace

Research and scientific studies prove that societal and workplace bias contributes to dismal physical and mental health outcomes.  The likelihood that Black women will experience disparately high stress loads from coping with systemic stress compared to other groups increases their risk of health deterioration.  National Library of Medicine. Arline T.
